Listening blog: Superstition

Superstition by Stevie Wonder was released in 1972 on his album, Talking Book. It was his fifteenth studio album that he released and it was very successful, it is very clear as to why.  Lets just say the twelve minutes and fifteen seconds that it took to listen to this song all the way through three times was well worth the time. This song just has the best vibe to it. It just makes you feel groovy. The instrument and they lyrics fit together very well, which some of the previous songs that we have listened to have not had. Stevie definitely lives up to his name. He played many of the instruments and sang and it is really a wonder of a song. (Haha get it? Just kidding, I'm so sorry for that, it was way bad.) I don't know about any one else but this just brings me right back to the just dance days. This song is one of the best ones and way fun to dance to. (I may of may not have the record.) I really love this song and it really is one of the best songs that we have listened to. This era of music is very impressive and I can tell it defiantly had a lot of influence on the music that is being produced now.

  2. I totally agree with what you had to say about this song. I listened to it for the first time all the way through when we first listened to it in class and I felt like I had been missing out. Stevie Wonder does a great job with keeping the listener enjoying this song throughout different parts of the song rather it is through his voice or just the instruments.

It just makes you feel groovy although it is very long haha. Overall I like the vibe the song gives off though the lyrics and the instrumental.
